Winter Clothes for Schoolchildren
Indian winters have always been cold. However, in the past few years, the rural regions of North India have seen extreme bouts of low temperatures, to which not all families have been able to react.
Since the winter of 2019, we have worked with volunteers in India to provide warm clothes to needy children in villages in the northern India, where poverty rates are high and children, even in the winter, often are forced to attend school in slippers and threadbare shirts.
By working with the administration of the Gaddi Kheri village public school, which is typically attended by children of little means, we have found the children most in need of strong cold-weather wear and made it our goal to make sure that none of those children are cold during the winter months.
